Durch eine genaue Interpretation diesbezüglich relevanter Passagen in den Grundlinien schlüsselt der Autor Hegels Argumentationsstrang für das Recht auf Privateigentum auf und weist dabei nach, dass ein adäquates Verständnis der Hegelschen place nur durch die Berücksichtigung ihres systeminternen Charakters zu erlangen ist. Die systematische Leistungsfähigkeit des Hegelschen Eigentumsrechts kann erst auf dieser Grundlage diskutiert werden. Der Autor zeigt schließlich auf, dass Hegels Konzeption zwar keineswegs sämtliche ihrer Ziele erreicht, aber insbesondere in gesellschaftsanalytischer Perspektive grundlegende Einsichten eröffnet und insgesamt den Vergleich mit gegenwärtigen Positionen nicht zu scheuen braucht.
